Crackle Bar (Tackle Box) Happy Hour Review

3245 M Street, NW
Washington, D.C. 20007

Happy Hour Served Monday - Friday from 5pm - 7pm
Neighborhood: Georgetown
Specials: $2.00 Margaritas and $1.50 Beers, $1.00 Oysters, Daily Food Specials

Crackle Bar is a recently opened beach shack bar located on the second floor of Tackle Box in Georgetown. The ambiance is great with ocean blue walls, low lighting, candles, buoys hanging from the walls, a chalkboard menu, and ESPN SportsCenter playing on two plasma screen TV's. Guests have the choice to sit at a bar looking out windows that over the streets of Georgetown or a regular table. One thing to note about Crackle Bar is that it is small. It is  only a matter of time until this secret hideaway might have to expand to accommodate the every growing crowds! While the environment is great the best part about this bar are the food and drinks!

Menu

Yes you read the drink specials correctly... $2.00 Margaritas! This are by far the best and cheapest Margaritas that you will find during Happy Hour in D.C. It is a lime margarita on the rocks. That paired with the $3.00 Calamari your in for a great night. The night I visited Crackle Bar for Happy Hour because there were free Jello Shots and $5.00 Hurricanes (both left over from Mardi Gras, but I'm not complaining). Other popular offerings were $1 oysters and fish tacos.

The last thing I want to mention is the service. Crackle Bar is truly a one-man show and "The Man" is Edward. He will make sure your glass is never empty and make you feel at home.

Stay tuned for my next post because happy hour is the best hour and there is no better place to spend it than in the nation's capital.
